Girlings Complete Hearing in Sherborne celebrates after being awarded Family Business of the Year at the Sherborne Business Awards on 24th February 2022
Nicola Girling, who first became a trainee hearing aid dispenser in 1984, received the award on behalf of the Girlings team, which has recently celebrated 20 years in Sherborne.
Nicola said: “We’re delighted to receive this recognition from the Sherborne Business Awards and congratulate all our fellow finalists. Girlings is privileged to have served communities throughout Sherborne and the surrounding villages in the past twenty years. Our family-run business is built on providing impartial hearing advice, as only an independent can, along with the cutting-edge hearing technology and expert clinical ear treatments for which we have built such a strong reputation. It is wonderful to have our achievements recognised in this way.”
Girlings, which prides itself on its independent, family-run ethos, also now enjoys a second-generation of audiologists in the team. Dan Girling, who was just a young child when his parents opened their Sherborne clinic, joined the family business as a trainee in 2017; becoming a fully qualified hearing aid dispenser in 2019.
