11.11.22
Today we support our Armed Forces community with a two-minute silence in our clinics at 11am.
This year, we have continued our tradition of charitable giving to the Royal British Legion by commissioning an additional commemorative statue, made by veterans, representing ‘Unknown Women in War’. This figure, along with our ‘Unknown Tommy’ features in our Remembrance window displays, along with commemorative posters and poppies.
The red poppy is a symbol of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future. A well-known and well-established symbol, one that carries a wealth of history and meaning with it. To find out more about the history of our Acts of Remembrance please visit: Royal British Legion
Update 14/11/22:
We were honoured to receive a highly commended certificate this year, from the Sherborne Branch of the Royal British Legion, for our Remembrance windows.
